The HR Associate is part of a centralized group within HR that supports about 2000 employees in the US. He/she works closely with the HR Business Partners to provide HR support to the organization.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to employment, compensation, performance management, and training & development.
Handles routine HR policy, employment, HRIS, and process-related inquiries from employees and managers, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Uses HRIS system to process employee transactions such as promotions, terminations, tuition reimbursement, and salary increases.
Conducts New Hire Orientation
Responds to audits and data inquiries
Supports annual training through the Learning Management System
Prepares reports using HRIS and other systems
Proactively identifies and suggests HR process improvements
Manages i9 process to verify the identity and employment authorization of new employees hired within the US and ensures all forms are valid before expiration
May participate in projects with other HR team members on a variety of topics
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required, or equivalent work experience.
At least one year of human resource management experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS and talent management systems
