operations run smoothly day-to-day, this position will also act as an Assistant to the owner and
help with administrative tasks. Additionally, this position will be the key customer liaison and a

The position / compensation:
Operations Manager with Vicki’s Little Rascals. This is a part-time position that will directly assist the owner.
15-25 hours weekly Monday through Friday. An additional two hours may be required on weekends to respond to client requests and schedule changes in preparation to Monday shifts.
The compensation for this role is $26 to $29 per hour depending on experience.
Managing daily schedule and communicating updates and requests to the team
Providing administrative support to owner and reporting daily status updates
Ensuring staff start shifts on time and helping them with any issues or questions
Responding quickly to customer questions or requests and updating the team as needed
Managing the logistics of routes, ensuring dogs are assigned based on location/size
Managing requests for overnight pet sitting and communicating details to the team
Ensuring client information is up-to-date and communicating with team
Ensuring a smooth and professional onboarding process for new clients
Running payroll as well as tracking expenses and monthly revenue
Managing van fleet, including tracking overall vehicle health, scheduling maintenance
appointments, tracking expenses
The ideal candidate:
A motivated, and enthusiastic candidate, who has a passion for dogs.
Can work as a member of a team but can also thrive with less supervision.
Excellent task management, logistical and organizational skills.
Someone who can help us find new solutions and put them into practice.
Experience with payroll and basic revenue/expense tracking
An understanding of software programs including: Mailchimp, Typeform, Zapier, Smug Mug, and Time To Pet. (not critical as many of these programs can be learned quickly)
Previous professional or volunteer experience with dogs is not a requirement but we would prefer someone who has personally handled a wide variety of breeds. This is not a requirement as most of this role will be rooted in email communication, scheduling, and other administrative tasks but it will help you understand the work we perform.

A creative go-getter that is eager to find opportunities to improve and grow a business through marketing initiatives, business strategy, and process enhancements
Strong leader and independent thinker that is capable of making fast, but careful decisions
Familiar with Slack, Google Drive (including Calendar, Sheets, Docs, etc.), and Asana(these are critical to managing current day-to-day operations)
You are consistently available to work Monday through Friday with some availability to assist for a short period on weekends (ideally Sunday). This general availability must remain constant for at least 12 months.
The majority of tasks assigned will require you to accept delegated responsibilities and perform work without direct access to management or supervision.
