The Executive Vice President of Project Execution serves as one of the senior-most executives responsible for the implementation of the company’s strategic initiatives and core business projects. This role holds comprehensive responsibility for the delivery of major projects, cross-departmental coordination, and the establishment of the project execution framework. This is a results-oriented position, tasked with ensuring that the company’s key strategic initiatives, new business ventures, and major client projects are completed on time, to quality standards, and within budget, thereby driving the achievement of the company’s operational objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**
**I. Strategic Project Execution and Implementation**
Responsible for the overall execution and advancement of major company-wide strategic projects;
Translates corporate strategy into actionable project plans and phased objectives;
Establishes mechanisms for milestone management and deliverable acceptance;
Ensures the timely and high-quality delivery of critical projects.
**II. Project Governance and Execution System Development**
Establishes standardized project execution processes and management protocols;
Optimizes mechanisms for managing the project lifecycle;
Drives the upgrade of project management tools and systems;
Enhances the company’s overall project delivery maturity.
**III. Cross-Departmental Resource Integration and Collaboration**
Coordinates resources across functions including Product, R&D, Operations, Marketing, and Finance;
Resolves critical bottlenecks and conflicts encountered during project advancement;
Establishes efficient communication and decision-making mechanisms;
Promotes cross-departmental goal alignment and clear accountability.
**IV. Delivery Quality and Risk Control**
Establishes mechanisms for project quality control and risk early warning;
Manages risks related to schedule, budget, and contracts;
Conducts project post-mortems and drives continuous improvement;
Ensures client satisfaction and upholds the company’s reputation.
**V. Operational Support and Value Realization**
Monitors the contribution of projects to revenue and profit;
Optimizes the return on investment (ROI) for resource allocation;
Supports the execution of major client engagements and key contracts;
Drives the conversion of project deliverables into tangible business value.
**VI. Team Management and Capability Building**
Leads the project execution team and key project leads;
Establishes a performance evaluation system for project managers;
Promotes professional capability building and the development of a talent pipeline;
Fosters an organizational culture centered on execution excellence.
**VII. Performance and Reporting Mechanisms**
Establishes project execution KPIs and management dashboards;
Reports project progress to the CEO or Executive Leadership Team on a regular basis;
Provides risk assessments and recommendations for decision-making;
Ensures the transparency and controllability of corporate strategy execution.
**Qualifications**
**Education**
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Project Management, Engineering Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
PMP or relevant professional certification is preferred;
MBA is preferred. **Work Experience**
Over 20 years of experience in project management or general management;
At least 15 years of experience managing complex projects or large-scale teams;
A proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, cross-departmental, or cross-regional projects;
Experience in executing corporate transformations or major organizational changes is preferred.
