🏢 Vice President of Project Management
💼 Position Summary
The Vice President of Project Management is responsible for leading the company’s overall project management framework, overseeing multiple strategic and cross-functional projects, and ensuring the efficient operation of the entire project lifecycle—from planning and execution through to delivery.
Reporting directly to the CEO or COO, this role serves as a key member of the company’s executive leadership team, charged with driving the implementation of business strategies and enhancing operational execution efficiency. 🎯 **Key Responsibilities**
1. **Strategic Program Leadership**
– Lead the company-wide strategic project portfolio.
– Ensure project alignment with the company’s long-term business strategy.
– Establish mechanisms for project prioritization and resource allocation.
2. **Cross-functional Leadership**
– Coordinate across departments including Design, Product, Supply Chain, Sales, and Marketing.
– Ensure alignment of project objectives across all departments.
– Resolve cross-team execution conflicts and resource bottlenecks.
3. **PMO Development**
– Establish and optimize the Project Management Office (PMO).
– Develop standardized project management processes (SOPs).
– Introduce project management tools and methodologies (Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid).
4. **Budget & Resource Control**
– Manage budget allocation across multiple projects.
– Control project costs and monitor Return on Investment (ROI).
– Optimize the allocation of human resources and supply chain assets.
5. **Risk Management**
– Identify project execution risks (related to timeline, cost, supply chain, and quality).
– Develop risk mitigation and contingency plans.
– Ensure the timely delivery of critical projects.
6. **Executive Reporting & Decision Support**
– Provide project progress updates and data analysis reports to the CEO/COO.
– Support executive-level strategic decision-making.
– Provide insights into project performance and business trends.
7. **Team Leadership**
– Lead the project management team (Program Managers / Project Managers).
– Establish a performance evaluation framework.
– Develop high-caliber project management talent.
🧠 **Requirements**
🎓 **Education**
– Bachelor’s degree or higher (MBA preferred).
– Degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or Supply Chain-related fields preferred.
💼 **Experience**
– 20 years of project management experience.
– 5+ years of executive or senior management experience.
– Experience within multinational corporations or the Luxury/Manufacturing sectors is preferred.
