Job Summary:

The Marketing & Communication Specialist supports business units in planning, organizing, and implementing marketing and public relations activities which support awareness and utilization of Valir Health program services. Responsible for the coordination and development of print production, marketing, collaterals, event planning, special projects and marketing campaigns to enhance global marketing efforts.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop effective corporate communication strategies for company.
• Manage internal communications including company notifications, newsletters, etc.
• Draft content for mass media and/or company website.
• Assist in the development of an annual global marketing plan.
• Manage social media and website for Valir business units.
• Manage and coordinate company response to recognition programs such as Readers Choice Awards, Best Places to Work, etc.
• Develops and recommends marketing efforts for business units.
• Performs demographic research, preparing reports and recommendations.
• Assists in preparing RFPs and other business proposal medical.
• Prepares regular print marketing and advertising collaterals.
• Communicates effectively with co-workers, leadership and others to exchange or convey information.
• Organizes workload, responds to letters and general correspondence on behalf of department.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent time management skills and ability to plan and set priorities.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required.
• Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft Office products.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data.

Education, Licenses, Certifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate marketing and social media.
• Experience in content production, managing social media, etc.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, photo and video-editing software is an asset.
