IT Administrator – Service & Support

Valex Corp is looking for a versatile IT system administrator to support all aspects of our IT system and its users.
Some responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- maintaining system access and security for our network according to company policies;
- troubleshooting hardware and software issues;
- managing and maintaining network equipment, printers, copiers, phone system, and other systems related to the business;
- assisting departments with custom report development in our ERP system when requested;
- making suggestions on an enterprise or department level that will increase efficiency;
- and working with our parent company on larger IT projects.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- a college diploma in a complementary course of study,
- 2+ years working on an IT help desk,
- 2+ years experience working with Linux or equivalent,
- 2+ years experience with Progress RDBMS or equivalent,
- 2+ years experience in current computer technology and communication systems,
- strong network knowledge and experience, and
- excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills
