JOB SUMMARY: The Coordinator supports the overall operations of the public relations team, including the execution of overall programs and tactics, participation in department planning, pitching media, monitoring coverage related to Universal Orlando and media visits, and more.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
SCOPE: The Coordinator for Public Relations assists with department initiatives ranging from tactics supporting annual events and attraction openings to opportunistic projects and television development. This person is also responsible for building relationships with key media and brainstorming/implementing pitch ides to generate coverage for Universal Orlando. This person is also responsible for conducting various research projects pertaining to Universal Orlando as assigned, updating the department’s media list database, and assisting in the distribution of press releases and other media materials.
EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required; Bachelor’s degree is required – Public Relations, Communications or related field
EXPERIENCE: 1-3 Years: of related experience in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of communications field a must; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
