Salary: $70K and up. Plus Benefits.

This position is responsible for leadings installations of audio/video equipment, home control, home network, and smart home products. We are seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Engineer. The selected candidate will participate in the operation, setup, and support of audiovisual equipment; will perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot malfunctions of AV equipment.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ experience in residential audio-video installation
• Knowledge of modern audio-video systems and installation
• Experience with wire path pulls and wire terminations of wires
• Knowledge of mounting, tools, construction, or electrical concepts
• Knowledge of low voltage cabling types, tools, drilling, mounting, etc.
• Training and experience servicing Video Teleconference equipment
• Current familiarity with commercial audiovisual, videoconferencing, and broadcast manufacturers of equipment, including some direct training.
• Training and experience servicing in-room audio
• Training and experience servicing Digital Signal Processors (DSP) equipment
• Crestron, Crestron Toolbox, Cisco, Zoom, Teams, WebEx, Digital Signal Processors and switches; Biamp DSP; Shure, Dante, etc.
• Strong Understanding of IP networking

Responsibilities

• Lead team in Installation:
• Wiring
• Speaker Installation
• Flat panel installations
• Front Projection system installations (On-Wall Screen / On-Ceiling Projector)
• Calibration of audio and video equipment (Ex. Dirac)
• Networking installations (Enterprise gateways with multiple VLANs,
• Managed switches, and Controller driven Wireless Access Points)
• Control system setup and programming (ex. URC TRC or Savant systems).
• Shade or lighting installations and programming. (ex. Lutron Caseta,
• RadioRa2 Select, RadioRa2, Radio Ra3, Homeworks QS, and Homeworks QSX)
• Installation and Programming of IP-based Camera systems
• Power Management
• Equipment set up
• On-Wall and freestanding equipment rack installations
• Wire path pulls and wire terminations of the following wires: Speaker Cable / HDMI / Category Wire (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a) / RG6 (F connector, RCA, BNC) / Fiber Optic cable / Lighting and Shade power or control wiring.
• Lead an installation team for complex installations.
• Maintains highest quality standards for themselves, department, and company
• Works with Sales staff with system design and implementation
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to ensure modifications are tracked and appropriate change orders are generated and executed
• Leading technical client system training for client stakeholders and Service team
• Trains all levels of installation staff
• Multitask and prioritize workload with above outstanding time management skills
• Accurately recording work performed and onsite job notes for internal record keeping
• An understanding of all phases of residential installation work (Rough in, Trim, Final, and Service)
• Have direct communication and evaluate progress s with the Project Manager.
• Ensure, practice and enforce the Employee Safety Guidelines, and Jobsite Safety including but not limited to safety equipment, proper use of tools, safety devices, etc..
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks & services on AV/VTC systems
• Perform support on all AV systems including but not limited to troubleshooting, system fault isolation, leading support efforts with vendors and/or IT colleagues
• Plan / propose A/V space implementation, improvements, and upgrades
• Maintain accurate inventory on all AV/VTC systems including spare parts
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
