Overview:

Career opportunity with established consulting engineering firm in southeastern Florida. The successful candidate should have the ability to provide plumbing design support services on a variety of residential and commercial projects including new buildings and/or renovations and additions to existing facilities. Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Plumbing Design Engineer will actively participate in many phases of a project, including but not limited to: RFI (Request for Information) preparation, site investigations, CAD production, design documents, basic specifications, and the construction administration process.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparing conceptual designs based on client’s requirements.
• Participating in client meetings & maintain positive client relationships.
• Developing final construction documents from established concept designs or design development drawings.
• Prioritizing and scheduling assignments with the Project Manager to completed projects on time.
• Interfacing with other disciplines for coordination of project designs.
• Engineering tasks include, but are not limited to compressed air, domestic water, natural and propane gas, drainage piping (storm and sewer), and vacuum piping systems design.
• Conducting site visits to observe existing conditions (pre-design) and construction document compliance (post-design).
• Reviewing and responding to RFI’s and shop drawing submittals.

Requirements:

• Experience in Plumbing design is a plus.
• Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Excellent understanding of Engineering Fundamentals.
• Ability to schedule and execute multiple tasks.
• Ability to meet fast-paced deadlines while maintaining quality design.
• Have AutoCAD experience. Have Revit experience up to level 300.
• Have problem solving ability.
• Be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Be mature and self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
