Taconic, a global leader in the manufacturing of PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, belts and tapes has an opportunity available for a Process Engineer.

Position Summary

Lead process improvement efforts for PTFE & adhesive coating, lamination, and product fabrication. This includes transitioning new products and processes to production, while ensuring material quality.

Primary Duties

• Implement process improvements to improve quality, yield, and efficiency.
• Monitor and maintain material properties.
• Lead development and implementation of corrective actions resulting from customer complaints.
• Lead the transition of new products and processes to production.

Occasional Duties

· Assist with the general engineering support of the Petersburgh manufacturing functions.

· Support new product development activities.

· Provide technical assistance outside of working hours when issues arise.

· Assist in projects and tasks requested by department manager that contribute to department and/or organizational goals and objectives.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attributes

Bachelor’s degree in applicable Engineering discipline with a minimum of three years of Engineering experience. Must have a strong working knowledge of manufacturing, including lean manufacturing techniques and applications, as well as the underlying theories and concepts of manufacturing, quality, and product engineering. Must have experience with one or more of the following: polymer and adhesive coating, PTFE, process improvement, and coating formulations. Must be self-driven with strong project management and organizational skills. Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively throughout all levels within the organization.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
