Systems Administrator Full Time NEW

Role Description This is a part-time, remote Systems Administrator role supporting technology environments for clients within the Hire CVS Laid Off Talents network. The Systems Administrator will manage and maintain servers, operating systems, and core infrastructure services, ensuring availability, performance, and security. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring systems, applying patches and updates, managing backups and recovery procedures, and implementing standard configurations. The role also involves troubleshooting incidents, providing technical support to users, collaborating with network and security teams, and documenting processes and system changes. The Systems Administrator will help identify opportunities for automation and optimization, contributing to a stable and efficient IT environment.

Qualifications

• Strong System Administration skills, including managing servers, operating systems, and core infrastructure services.
• Hands-on Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for diagnosing and resolving system and user issues.
• Experience with Network Administration, including basic routing, switching, and network configuration.
• Solid foundation in Information Technology principles, including security best practices, backups, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization technologies is beneficial.
• Experience with automation or scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, Microsoft, or similar) or equivalent practical experience are advantageous.
