Location: State College Municipal Building

Starting Hourly Range: $26.30 to $32.84

REQUIREMENTS:

The State College Police Department (SCPD) Social Worker provides program development, case management and community engagement regarding social services in the SCPD service areas. The social worker will support the development of the Social Work program, serve as a wellness resource for police officers and civilian staff, and promote community safety for those persons facing social challenges such as mental health illness, substance abuse, homelessness, and others.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in social work or a related field, Licensed Social Worker (LMSW, or Licensed Psychologist; and three (3) years of related experience and/or training in the social work field.

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working with a law enforcement agency and local social service agencies

Proof of COVID Vaccination and/or booster, if eligible, is required.
