Job Description-Experienced Generator Technician:
(Minimum Experience Two Years)

Essential Duties:

-Perform startup duties for newly installed Generators.

-Provide excellent Customer Service and Interact with customers in a positive manner throughout the startup process.

-Ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on residential/commercial/industrial generator systems as directed.
-Troubleshoot generator and transfer switch problems and provide solutions
-Load bank service
-24/7 on call rotation

A clean driving record, negative drug screening, and clear background check will be required.

• Must have correctable vision to 20/40
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and any other required professional licenses
• Must attain and maintain valid Medical Examiner’s Certification (DOT card)
• A background in Generator installation, maintenance and repair preferred. Comparable skills in small engines, electrical, or HVAC will be considered.
• Must have a basic understanding of Electrical systems, ATS functionality, Fuel systems (Natural Gas/Propane) and Digital Controls/firmware required.
• Must be able to lift up to several hundred pounds with assistance.
• This position requires frequent/extended walking, crouching, climbing, standing, driving.
• Must be able to speak and read English.
• Work and driving will be performed in all extremes of weather.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Hours of work and days will be Monday through Friday. Hours can vary based on business needs. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Safety and Health:

· At times, and in varying degrees depending upon the specific details of possible contagion exposure- it may be necessary for Powers to follow CDC or other recommended health safety guidelines for the protection of its staff. All staff must follow protocol, as directed.

· Promote a safe working environment.

· Participation in all emergency evacuation drills is required, which may include the use of strobe lighting and loud sirens.

· Participate in employee safety training and comply with safety protocol and procedures, as directed.
