Job Title: Senior Director of Marketing & Communications
The Grand Ole Hire (TGOH) is currently seeking a Senior Director of Marketing & Communications on behalf of a prominent, mission-driven nonprofit organization. This executive-level role will be responsible for leading brand strategy, increasing national and global awareness, and driving impactful marketing and communications initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission.

Position Overview
The Senior Director of Marketing & Communications will oversee all aspects of marketing, branding, and communications strategy. This individual will be responsible for building brand identity, increasing visibility, and developing integrated campaigns that drive engagement, awareness, and revenue growth.
This role reports directly to executive leadership and will play a key role in long-term strategic visioning and organizational positioning.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing and communications strategies across multiple channels
· Build and strengthen brand identity while increasing awareness on a national and global scale
· Oversee integrated campaigns including digital, social media, public relations, and content strategy
· Establish measurable goals and KPIs; track performance and adjust strategies accordingly
· Manage and mentor a marketing and communications team to drive results and effectiveness
· Partner with internal stakeholders to align messaging, branding, and program priorities
· Identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges impacting the organization
· Oversee website strategy, content development, and digital experience optimization
· Lead media relations, press strategy, and external communications efforts
· Develop innovative campaigns to increase engagement, visibility, and revenue opportunities
· Present marketing strategies and performance updates to executive leadership and board stakeholders
· Drive brand positioning within key focus areas such as social impact, community engagement, and cultural influence
· Collaborate cross-functionally to support programs, events, and organizational initiatives
· Lead strategic brainstorming sessions with senior leadership to drive innovation and growth
Qualifications
· Proven success leading marketing and communications within a nonprofit, cultural institution, or mission-driven organization
· Strong leadership experience managing teams, budgets, and cross-functional initiatives
· Demonstrated ability to translate mission-driven work into compelling campaigns that drive engagement and visibility
· Experience rebuilding or elevating brand strategy, messaging, and communications functions
· Strong understanding of PR, media relations, digital marketing, and brand storytelling
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
· Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
· Experience with full creative lifecycle including branding, content, digital, and design
· Knowledge of SEO/SEM, digital campaigns, and audience engagement strategies
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
