The Centralized Logging Systems and Services (CLSS) team is part of the Enterprise Technology Infrastructure group responsible for all aspects of the enterprise infrastructure, and various applications. CLSS is responsible for the development, oversight, and risk assessment of new and existing applications for enterprise monitoring and management.
This position is responsible for the senior-level Content Engineering work within the enterprise Splunk environment. The ideal candidate will support the engineering functions that directly contribute to the data management life cycle of the Splunk environment. Must be able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure enterprise environment. Will serve as a strong technical resource on large-scale, enterprise wide application issues and serve as a mentor to less experienced staff. This role is expected to serve as a technical lead in the engineering space.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of operating systems analysis experience, operating systems engineering experience, or a combination of both
5 + years of enterprise Splunk engineering experience
3 + years of experience leading multiple workstreams, applications, or deliverables
5+ years of infrastructure experience
5+ years of experience engineering and analyzing both Windows based and Unix based operating systems
Desired Qualifications
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience working in a large enterprise environment
SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
Knowledge and understanding of application development, infrastructure, and architecture environments
Knowledge and understanding of technical network, infrastructure disciplines, application development, or system security
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Experience interacting with Senior technology leaders
A BS/BA degree or higher
Other Desired Qualifications
Experience with Enterprise Security (ES) premium product is very strongly desired
Experience with IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) premium product
Other Splunk premium products experience a plus – UBA, Hunk, MLTK, etc.
Splunk query, reporting, and dashboard skills with particular emphasis on reporting on infrastructure and application performance and capacity
Splunk administration skills in an enterprise environment ingesting >10TB daily
