As the Mechanical Designer at Spindle 360, you will shape the future by designing products that delight and inspire people worldwide. You will be a design leader who is passionate about improving people’s lives through design and technology. You are proactive, creative, engaged, optimistic, progressive, open-minded and resourceful and you seek inspiration, empowerment, and challenge. We are currently focused on consumer goods that include robotics, furniture, electronics and more.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver mechanical design at a high level
• Lead design efforts through all phases of the design and development process
• Conceptualize compelling ways of providing new value and innovation

Qualifications and Attributes:

• Degree in CAD or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years’ experience with Solidworks
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Strong creative thinking, and problem solving skills

Primary Requirements:

• Expert level in Solidworks
• Bonus points for strong 3D Modeling and Visualization experience using Keyshot, Octane, Redshift, or similar
• Bonus points for advanced ability to prototype and ability to operate CNC equipment
• Aesthetic sensibility and strong fundamentals – sketching, concept generation, 3D modeling, and digital rendering
• Knowledge of prototyping and manufacturing processes for consumer products

• Bonus points for ability to create class A surfaces

• Ability to work under tight timelines and handle projects
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.

• A portfolio must be included with the application to be considered

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 – $30.00 per hour

We are in a 2 story loft built in the late 1800’s. We are a small team and have about 1,000 square feet per team member.

Experience:

• Solidworks: 5 years (Preferred)
• CAM programming: 1 year (Preferred)
• any type of CAD: 5 years (Preferred)
