The South Shore Sign Company (SSSC) is a full-service signage and graphic company established in 1983. Our mission is to provide quality work with sound pricing, reliable service, and overall customer satisfaction. We maintain a client base that consists of some of the largest retail management and development companies in the country. We offer a wide array of signage that includes digital signage, branding designs, and wayfinding campaigns.

Job Description:

The SSSC is looking for a creative Sr. Graphic Designer to work closely with our team to engage clients and create designs/shop drawings with a high level of expectation in a fast-paced environment. The position requires an individual who is self-motivated and capable of prioritizing projects and seeing them through to the end.

The candidate must be proficient in the following:

• Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) 3-5 yrs min.
• AutoCAD, Solid Works, and similar 2D-3-D CAD programs a plus!
• Knowledge of sign materials and substrates (ex: vinyl, acrylic, metal, plastic, etc) a plus!
• Designing and recommending materials, applications, and installations with the end goal in mind

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Engage clients for information on designs, revisions, approvals, and production
• Creatively design visual concepts to suit the needs of the client
• Operate equipment to include vinyl plotters, laminators, and printers
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment
• Assist Senior Project Managers with quality control, production, and installations
• Work with senior designers, engineers, and project managers on multiple projects at once

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
• Graphic Design / Sign Industry experience: 1-3 years (Required)
• A design portfolio that demonstrates proficiency in the required design software
• A keen eye for typography, color, and layout
• Ability to work methodically to meet deadlines on several concurrent projects
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments including Sales, Design, Production, and Operations.
