SUMMARY: Support, update and maintain product content on the Shades of Light website and catalogue.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Input and confirm product description data for all merchandise with appropriate photo
- Write product copy for online and catalog sales
- Verify copy accuracy and product placement on the company website
- Partner with Customer Support Center to respond to customer inquiries, to include vendor communication in support of issue resolution
- Support internal customers through the process of special orders or item update request
- Understand and support needs of Customer Support and retail store locations
- Review and update product information regularly including website updates of new products specifications
- Place sample purchase orders as needed and ensure product delivery
- Ensure ongoing accuracy of vendor contact information
- Effectively navigate organizational systems, including purchasing and inventory management system and the Shades of Light website
- Perform other duties as requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 or 4 year degree in English, Creative Writing, Communications or other related field or equivalent experience
- Strong attention to detail, organization skills and analytical skills
- Good writing skills with a strong command of grammar and punctuation
- Communicates in a highly effective and professional manner (verbal and written), interpreting complex information and thoughtfully expressing his/her viewpoint, analysis or conclusions
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with team members, clients and suppliers
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new processes and systems
- Ability to execute tasks in a thorough, composed, accurate and timely fashion while managing multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
