Service Credit Union Hiring for Internal Communications Specialist II – Portsmouth Job at Portsmouth, NH Full Time

Service Credit Union is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist II where you will be responsible for creating and managing a variety of external and internal communications at the credit union. This role will primarily oversee streamlining the credit union’s internal communications strategy across departments and channels, including email, newsletters, notices, reports, video, and the company’s intranet, and will also be involved in external marketing to members via public relations and social media.

Pay: $60,240 per year based on experience

Hours: Full time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 5:00

Work location: Portsmouth NH

The Day to Day:

• Serve as primary owner of employee intranet (“The Hub”), responsible for creating and updating content, assigning content to other team members and liaising with vendor for management and upkeep
• Write, direct and co-host internal video, including monthly Service Talks videos
• Create content and serve as co-host of Service CU podcast
• Partner with stakeholders across the credit union to serve as the primary lead for internal communications needs
• Work in collaboration with Content Manger to develop press releases, social media, awards content, blogs, and other member-facing communication
• Research and develop new communications channels and programs
• Own and update internal communications calendar
• Work with CEO to create and distribute semi-annual CEO report
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in communications, marketing, or business.
• Minimum of five years in communications and/or public relations, preferably in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills. Demonstrated ability to produce clear, compelling, motivating copy for team members of all levels and in all geographies including announcements, news, newsletter, and digital content.
• Marketing experience in financial services or a related industry a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on quality and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while consistency meeting deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal); ability to interact successfully with individuals at all levels.
• Positive, collaborative, flexible disposition; equally adept at working independently or as part of a team.
• Experience in intranet software such as Jostle, Interact, Engynn or other.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) a plus.
