Responsible for leading a team of front-end, back-end and QA engineers to deliver next-gen customer experiences. Hands on development of front-end applications, management of vendor relationships, and external software development teams. Success will be measured by the velocity of products launched and customer satisfaction achieved.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
Responsible for integration efforts and execution of product road maps across the Spectrum Mobile Application portfolio.
Partner with front end and back end development teams across a variety of technology stacks in order to develop a complex knowledge of system architecture and data flow.
Provide technical direction to internal and external development teams. Builds and develops applications to meet mobile development best practices.
Oversee integration requirements to ensure they align with Charter’s technology roadmap.
Function as the technical interface, and facilitates collaboration between the Product Management team and the other supporting functional organizations (IT, OSS, Billing, 3rd Party Suppliers) to properly interpret and deliver to the functional specifications. Ensures alignment between the business operational strategies and technical solutions.
Manage high performing teams by leading, developing, training and providing effective coaching to attract and foster talent.
Skills /Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Proven track record building and releasing new products from conception to production
Possess a deep technical knowledge of client side UI/UX development across multiple platforms and form factors (Web, Phone, Tablet, TV, etc.)
Expert mobile developer with a published production quality mobile app in the iTunes App Store and/or Google Play
Solid understanding of web-oriented architecture, RESTful services, JSON
Deep hands-on knowledge of mobile specific tools, best practices and challenges
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative agile environment.
Aptitude and eagerness to learn from a new environment and make an impact quickly
Ability to manage and foster change
Ability to lead large, cross-functional teams in order to achieve business goals and results
Ability to listen to multiple points of view and synthesize against goals for recommendations
Ability to plan, prioritize and organize effectively and independently

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
Master Degree preferred
Related Work Experience
8 years of experience in Product Development Process
8 years of related industry experience- Cable, Telecommunications, Software/Online Services
Experience in a lead role on a large scale consumer facing product
Product Development Experience preferably in Cable, Telecommunications, Software or Web Services
