Position Purpose: Develops and implements membership growth and retention strategies for assigned market to meet or exceed enrollment targets for all products. Implements strategies and tactics aligned with the business objectives of Fidelis Care. Develops and manages a strong leadership team and staff. Possesses the ability to operate effectively in a rapidly changing environment. Produces high quality, thorough work and is highly productive at all times. Completely aware of and adheres to regulatory guidelines. Has full knowledge and understanding of products, manages distribution channels effectively and works collaboratively with provider relations to build strong provider relationships. Understands and improves overall competitive position of Fidelis Care in assigned market.
Develop local marketing plans and membership goals in conjunction with the strategic vision, messages and objectives
Develop and achieve strategic plans and goals related to membership, customer, provider and product growth
Develop relationships with targeted prospects to meet short-term and long-term Marketing objectives
Position the health plan for membership growth across geographic market areas and multiple product lines
Assess people, process and technology and rapidly make adjustments to address issues, ensure continuous improvement and achieve business objectives.
Lead and be present among staff and leadership team both internally and externally.
Be knowledgeable of and able to explain strategies, tactics, policies and procedures; share information and encourage two-way communications between directors, managers and staff.
Use objective tools, data and feedback to establish stretch goals and monitor performance for individual/team/region including deep understanding and use of Salesforce
Work with leadership team and Human Resources staff to recruit, interview, select, hire and train employees.
Coach, mentor, and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding, on-going training, provide career development and succession planning.
Provide oversight and direction to employees in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Lead using a performance management and development process that provides an overall context and framework to encourage employee contribution and includes goal setting, feedback, and performance development planning.
Education/Experience: BA/BS – Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; MA/MS preferred. Min of 5 years Leadership and Management of staff (Managers, Supervisors, Specialists and Field Reps) required.
Min of 10 years working knowledge of healthcare delivery with experience in the field of insurance, government (Medicaid/Medicare related entities) or health care delivery (Providers) required.
Min of 10 years Relationship Building experience with customer/member/provider interactions, relationship building, and problem resolution. Experience developing goals and objectives, tracking progress and demonstrating results. 8+ years of Sales experience working in demanding sales environments with quota based goals.
License/Certification: NY Life, Accident and Health license (as required)
