Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Supplier Management to lead and optimize the organization’s global supplier strategy, supplier performance management, procurement operations, and strategic sourcing initiatives. This leadership role will oversee supplier relationships, risk mitigation, contract governance, and supply chain transformation initiatives while leveraging blockchain technology to enhance transparency, traceability, security, and operational efficiency across the supplier ecosystem.
The ideal candidate possesses extensive leadership experience in supplier management, digital transformation, and emerging technologies, with a strong understanding of blockchain-enabled supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute enterprise-wide supplier management strategies aligned with business objectives and operational goals.
Lead supplier segmentation, sourcing initiatives, and supplier performance improvement programs across multiple regions.
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with critical suppliers and key stakeholders.
Design and implement supplier governance frameworks, KPIs, compliance standards, and supplier scorecards.
Oversee contract negotiations and supplier lifecycle management processes.
Drive cost optimization, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead supplier risk assessment activities and establish proactive mitigation strategies.
Implement blockchain-enabled solutions to improve supplier visibility and end-to-end supply chain traceability.
Utilize distributed ledger technologies to authenticate supplier records, validate transactions, and ensure data integrity.
Collaborate with technology teams to integrate smart contracts into supplier agreements and procurement workflows.
Monitor blockchain-based supplier ecosystems for performance, compliance, and fraud prevention opportunities.
Support digital transformation initiatives involving AI, predictive analytics, IoT, and blockchain technologies.
Lead cross-functional teams including procurement, legal, operations, technology, finance, and compliance departments.
Develop executive-level reporting and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Operations Management, or a related field.
Master’s degree (MBA or related discipline) preferred.
10–15+ years of experience in supplier management, strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership roles.
Minimum 5+ years of senior leadership experience managing global supplier programs.
Strong knowledge of supplier lifecycle management and procurement systems.
Experience implementing blockchain technologies within supply chain or procurement environments.
Familiarity with smart contracts, distributed ledger platforms, and digital supplier ecosystems.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or related enterprise platforms.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
Excellent communication and executive presentation abilities.
