Example of Duties:
Provide procurement services as they relate to obtaining services, general goods and supplies, and technical hardware and software in accordance with applicable laws. Perform all administrative processes required by initiating, reviewing, soliciting, evaluating and selecting vendors through the solicitation/award function of the invitation to bid procurement cycle. Demonstrate consistent initiative and good judgment, and have the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and three (3) years of experience in purchasing.
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and five (5) years of experience in purchasing.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent and seven (7) years of experience in purchasing.
National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM) or National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) certification
Experience in formal government purchasing activities
