Job Title: Senior Applications Programmer Job Location: Charlottesville, VA Security Clearance: Top Secret SCI – IT-1 Certifications: CompTIA Security+, and IAT Level II certification (CCNA Security or CySA+ or, GICSP or, GSEC or, Security+ CE or SSCP) IndraSoft, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Senior Applications Programmer to work from home in Charlottesville, VA. The candidate will be responsible for the life cycle management of META’s CUBE Systems, provide sustainment service to provide hardware and software modification to systems to include troubleshooting, modifying, and upgrading the current system baseline to sustain operational functionality and capability of the system. The candidate must be willing to multitask and work independently on projects and work part as a team. Qualifications Required: o Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, software engineering, or electronics or equivalent. Four (4) years of Information Technology (IT)/Application Development experience is considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree. o 5-8+ years of recent software development, hardware support and test experience. o 2+ years of virtualized desktop infrastructure experience. o 2+ years of relational database management system experience. o Certification in DoD 8570.01-M (Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program) Information Assurance Workforce Technical Category I – IAT-II certification required (CCNA Security or CYSA+ or, CICSP or, GSCEC or, Security+ CE or, SSCP). o 5+ recent years of experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system workstations and servers. o Qualified and experienced with Oracle APEX and Developer tools such as GIT, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, or other Atlassian developer products and at least two items of the following categories: – DBA activities, Oracle 12c, SQL, or PL/SQL – Apache HTTPD, Apache Tomcat, SAML 2.0, or PKI – RedHat Linux – Amazon Web Services (AWS) o Must be available for non-PPP hours consist of 24×7 on-call support and a Weekly Scheduled Maintenance window, which is one night per week and starts at either 1600 or 1800. o Candidate MUST BE a US Citizen with a current Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI) able to be adjudicated upon commencing work. Qualifications Desired: o 6 years of experience demonstrating technical depth and experience in, relevant discipline(s) and/or application(s). o Previous experience leading teams is desirable, but not required. o 5+ Years of experience working with Government Entity. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: o Provide all necessary CUBE software correction maintenance to ensure CUBE software maintains operational readiness. o Provide software enhancement maintenance to ensure CUBE software remains adaptive, secure, and relevant in a constantly changing environment. This software maintenance task includes identifying, proposing, and executing software changes so that existing functionality can be maintained and increased in response to shifting business priorities and operational focus within the tolerances negotiated by the Government. o Ensure that all adaptive and perfective maintenance are in compliance with changing guidance based on Department of Defense (DoD) Intelligence Community (IC), Army, INSCOM, and NGIC mandates or directives. o Provide all software enhancement required for all technology modernization and life cycle management within NGIC’s infrastructure as defined in, but not limited to, the NGIC Standard and Architecture guidelines and supporting software life cycles. o Maintain the software integrity, confidence, and reliability to greatest extent possible by utilizing industry best practices and ensuring that security issues are identified, documented, and communicated to the Government to address. o Monitor Department of Homeland Security’s United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT), Vendor security bulletins and patch release, DISA Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA) fixes, and be compliant with the most current Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG). o Ensure software maintenance by identifying, isolating, and rectifying software faults so that existing functionality can be restored to an operational condition within the tolerances negotiated upon between the Government and contractor. (Corrective Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance). o Implement emergency patch releases, review scope and schedule of the current Patch releases. Emergency Patch releases shall be documented and released using the NGIC SDLC Patch Release Process. o Provide Emergency Patch releases when application performance is impacted due to security vulnerabilities or unanticipated issues that stops, or threatens to stop, mission productivity and there is not readily identified and approved workaround. o Ensure that vulnerabilities that are not addresses in a normal release cycle are address in an Emergency Patch. o The contractor shall fix and deploy any preventive maintenance issues into the normal release cycle to correct latent faults in the software before they become effective faults and require an emergency change. o Design, develop, test, and package software for the current baseline as updates and future baselines as upgrades. o Analyze, isolate, characterize, document, and resolve complex application software anomalies and deficiencies. o Develop, operate, and maintain prototype applications, models, and databases. o Conduct system performance tuning and fault isolation services. o Integrate appropriate security measures into developed software services. o Provides technical guidance to business users. Physical Demands: While performing duties of the job, incumbent will be exposed to Normal demands associated with an office environment. Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by video conferencing, telephone, email, and face to face. This position requires incumbent to have the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
