We offer care for medical patients, infectious diseases, pulmonary, GI, non-invasive treatments and a variety of other diagnoses. All rooms are private with their own restrooms, supply cabinets as well as couches and privacy curtains for the comfort of family who wish to stay close. We have two rooms fully plumed to handle dialysis patients. Computers are also located in each patient room to facilitate bedside documentation and medication verification. We utilize Epic as our electronic health record.
Services provided include vasoactive medication drips and care to higher acuity-level patients.
The management structure of the unit consists of an experienced Clinical Manager who will oversee the unit. The Charge Nurses provide additional clinical support for the staff and help to maintain the flow of the unit. The staff is comprised of RNs, Certified Nursing Assistants and Health Unit Coordinators with support services provided by Respiratory Care, 24 hour Pharmacists, PT/OT, IV Therapy RNs, Dieticians and RN Care Managers. RN assignments are determined by patient census and acuity and our normal RN ratios for med-surg patients are 1:5 with CNA support.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
Previous Medical/Surgical experience is preferred.
New graduates are also considered for residency positions.
Current RN license from the Washington State Board of Nursing
Current Healthcare BLS Certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire
