About Escapology
Escapology is a fast-growing escape room franchise company experiencing rapid national expansion. We are building a platform business with strategic franchisees while scaling operational excellence across all locations. Our team is lean, mission-driven, and operates at the forefront of the experiential entertainment sector.
The Role
We are seeking a Real Estate Coordinator who will serve as a critical bridge between our internal teams and the external real estate ecosystem. This is a fast-paced position where you’ll execute on real estate workflows, coordinate stakeholder communications, and support the CDO in driving franchise growth.
As our Real Estate Coordinator, you will:
• Execute and manage workflows within PlacerAI to support real estate analysis, market research, and site evaluation; propose improvements to processes as you identify them
• Develop and maintain documentation and processes to help the team and franchisees utilize real estate tools effectively, with direction from leadership
• Support the CDO in coordinating and improving real estate workflows and operational procedures
• Maintain organized systems and records; take ownership of data quality and accessibility
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
• Build and maintain relationships with commercial brokers, landlords, developers, and retail partners—managing ongoing communication independently where appropriate
• Serve as initial point of contact for franchisee inquiries on real estate questions, site selection, lease terms, and timelines; escalate strategic decisions to CDO/leadership
• Coordinate communication across construction, facilities, legal, and finance; use judgment to route inquiries and gather information efficiently
• Document and communicate real estate opportunities and constraints to relevant internal teams; identify patterns and surface recommendations to leadership
Deal Support & Execution
• Take the lead on identifying and organizing potential sites aligned with our development roadmap; conduct preliminary research and due diligence independently
• Manage franchisees through the real estate process: coordinate site visits, compile lease documents, track milestones, and maintain project timelines with minimal oversight
• Prepare analysis summaries, market data, and supporting materials for deal evaluations
• Facilitate communication between external real estate stakeholders and internal teams; have the autonomy to problem-solve blockers and keep deals moving
Cross-Functional Coordination
• Independently manage the documentation and logistics with Construction & Design on property specs, tenant improvement scheduling, and readiness tracking
• Own tracking HVAC, utilities, insurance, and property compliance requirements across active projects; escalate issues proactively
• Organize lease documents, guaranties, and property materials for legal review and leadership
• Support the CDO on strategic site selection for company locations and priority markets
About You
Required Experience
• 3-4+ years working in real estate, franchise development, site selection, or commercial brokerage
• Proficiency with PlacerAI (or other site selection and market analysis platforms)
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers, landlords, and developers
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholder communications simultaneously
• Written and verbal communication skills that work with C-suite, external professionals, and franchisees
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in franchise development or multi-unit retail/hospitality expansion
• Familiarity with lease analysis, tenant improvement budgets, and real estate project management
• Experience supporting franchisee networks or decentralized business operations
• Working knowledge of commercial real estate metrics (rent/sq ft, traffic counts, demographics, etc.)
Core Competencies
• Execution-focused with initiative – You manage details, follow through on tasks, and identify opportunities to improve processes; you take ownership of your work and don’t need constant direction
• Cross-functional coordination – You communicate and coordinate across multiple teams and priorities; you know when to escalate vs. when to solve independently
• Stakeholder communication – You communicate clearly and build relationships with brokers, developers, franchisees, and internal leaders
• Problem-solving judgment – You identify issues, think through solutions, and escalate appropriately when decisions require leadership input
• Attention to detail – Real estate requires precision; you maintain accurate records and catch errors before they become problems
• Reliable and adaptable – You’re energized by a fast-growing company and adjust to shifting priorities without losing focus
What You’ll Get
• Real estate exposure – You’ll work directly on franchise real estate across multiple markets and deal types
• Visibility to leadership – You’ll work closely with the CDO and see how high-level real estate and franchise strategy decisions are made
• Cross-functional experience – You’ll touch construction, design, legal, and franchise operations; strong performers learn quickly and can specialize
• Growth at a fast company – You’ll be part of a lean, efficient team in a rapidly expanding business
• Process improvement – You’ll help build and refine the systems and workflows that keep our real estate pipeline organized and moving efficiently
