About Us:

At RainCaper, we design and manufacture artfully inspired products including apparel, fashion accessories, gifts, & home goods. RainCaper is a 5 year-old brand with a loyal customer base, and our Fine Art collections and skill at custom designed products set us apart from our competition. Our business is primarily B2B and we sell directly through a sales team, our B2B e-commerce website, and channels like Faire, Abound, and Juniper. Our B2C e-commerce channels are currently Amazon and Shopify, and our ability to launch on Wayfair or other channels is dependent on bringing a fabulous E-commerce Channel Manager into our small team!

The mother-daughter Owners have several decades of experience successfully running small retail businesses, and RainCaper is a brand that is rapidly growing and adapting to the needs of our customers. This position can be fully remote, with a strong preference given to someone who can work in our suburban Philadelphia office 1-3 days per week. We offer generous small business benefits.

Essential Responsibilities

The Channel Manager’s core responsibility is to keep the RainCaper product presentations current, accurate, and compelling on all e-commerce platforms. This requires tight maintenance of multiple versions of our data files to keep correct information in the correct format published to the correct channels at all times. Responsibilities include:

• Use extensive knowledge of Shopify, e-commerce, and Amazon best practices when creating and maintaining product listings

• Maintain our high brand standards for accuracy and aesthetics

• Take responsibility for optimizing the UX and UI of www.raincaper.com

• Use Airtable to maintain all product data files and to publish listings to various channels

• Work with Marketing and Graphic Design to create beautiful and engaging content to enhance the channels, e.g. infographics, hero, or header images.

• Keep Shopify site optimized for SEO best practices, utilizing our Developer for needed changes and Copywriting for any creative content

• Keep Amazon listings optimized, in conjunction with our Amazon keyword/PPC person

• Incorporate CRO best practices and direct feedback, as well as site analytics, to make necessary changes to the Shopify site

• Own Shopify apps: Maintain current ones and research, install, and set up new ones as our needs evolve. Troubleshoot any Shopify apps with the app support team.

Required Experience:

• 3+ years experience in e-commerce, Shopify preferred

• 2+ years experience in Amazon Seller Central (PPC experience not required)

• Knowledge of languages such as JavaScript, CSS, or HTML preferred

• 2+ years experience maintaining data files, Airtable experience preferred

• Zapier experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
