Position Function: The Intervention Specialist will collaborate with educators in effecting positive behavior change in students by developing interventions, utilizing ACHIEVE resources, working with students who have violated the student code of conduct, connecting school/home/community in designing plans for support and working with staff in tracking data of students both behaviorally and academically.
Essential Performance Responsibilities
Additional Duties: Assists with additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Equipment: This position may require the ability to use SMART boards and iPads in addition to basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, scanners, and fax machine. Must always comply with USD 259’s guidelines for equipment use.
Travel: Occasional visits to students’ homes will be required in order to collect social history and complete paperwork with a student’s family.
