Position: Tank Installer / Field Operations Tech

Description:

Assist the Minibulk Group in developing, implementing, training, and applying industry best practices related to Operations. In order to fulfill these responsibilities, the Minibulk Tank Installer / Field Operations Tech is empowered to manage work priority and to engage the proper resources to develop and implement systems, tools, and administrative standards.

Primary Responsibilities (May include but not limited to):

· Responsible for safe and efficient installation of storage tanks and delivery of chemicals in all regions

· Review and develop operating procedures to maximize safety and minimize equipment failures

· Analyze trailer/equipment/machinery failures

· Act as a technical consultant for Minibulk sales representatives and make joint calls when necessary

· Responsible for the installation of tanks and managing the process

· Determine and schedule preventive maintenance

· Schedule workloads and repair priorities

· Schedule contractors as appropriate

· Order required equipment /parts

· Maintain appropriate replacement parts inventory

· Maintain appropriate records of repair/replacement/maintenance

· Ensure safety violations are addressed and develop a corrective action to prevent future violations

· Conduct incident investigations

· Maintain logs and forms as appropriate

· Read and understands blueprints, specifications, and pertinent standards

· Understand NACD Responsible Distribution management system.

· Knowledge of class 8 corrosive chemicals

· 24 hour HAZWOPER course

· Maintain appropriate records of repair/replacement/maintenance for trucks and trailers

· Conduct safety audits and incident investigations

· Ensure safety violations are addressed and develop a corrective action to prevent future violations

· 50% or more travel required

· Uphold the fundamentals of the Nicholson Nine and Responsible Care Guiding Principles. Environmental, Health, Safety and Security are a responsibility of every PVS Employee.

Required Education / Skills / Equivalent Experience:

• CDL with Hazmat endorsement a plus but not required
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Experience with PVC piping and electronic level monitoring a plus
• Experience tracking and analyzing emerging regulatory issues, communication of issues to sites and development of company regulatory point of view.
• Experience with developing standards / procedures / training.
• Familiarity with the following:
• OSHA Process Safety Management 29 CFR 1910.119
• EPA Risk Management Program 40 CFR Part 68
• DHS Appropriations Act of 2007 CFATS
• Waste Water and Storm Water Management
• Industrial Hygiene Programs
• Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Special and other Waste Management
• A thorough understanding of OSHA and NFPA rules and recommendations.
• Experience with Responsible Care, Responsible Distribution, and ISO Standards.
• Experience operating in the chemical industry.
• Trailer, and equipment maintenance related experience and/or training
• Knowledge of chemical hazards and incompatibilities
• Familiar with problem solving techniques and team building skills
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate, influence and negotiate with others.
• Demonstrated ability to organize work and set priorities to meet deadlines while working independently.
• Demonstrated analytical, logical and problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient with MS Office applications; especially Excel, Word, Outlook and Access.
• Ability to travel 75%.

Pay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
