Pure Lighting Company Hiring for Graphic Designer for Tech Startup Job at Bellingham, WA Full Time

Pure Lighting Company, a rapidly growing technology startup, is rebranding and needs the help of a skilled designer to support the vision of the PureTek Group and IntelliSafe IAQ (new brands) through multiple avenues including crafting branding guidelines, creating marketing collateral, and even supporting the software development process through UI design.

What would a typical day look like?

No day is truly the same. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved with various tasks and challenges for two different brands including:

• Branding: While logos exist for our companies (inquire and we’ll send them), no formal brand guidelines do. An early task will be to create brand guidelines for both to ensure all design output stays consistent.
• Web: Constantly improving web experience, building of new pages, and updates of existing. Our websites are made with Wordpress Divi Theme.
• Social: Updating social media pages, and designing + publishing content for social media channels including YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter.
• Video and Photos: Photo touch ups, providing instructions to on-site team for what project photos to take, taking product photos, creating video testimonials/project reviews.
• Marketing Collateral: The standard – brochures, project reviews, cut sheets, presentation templates, etc.
• Software: Supporting humancentric software experiences through helping with UI design.
• Other Design Elements: Help lay out tradeshow booths, etc.
• Marketing Assistance: While the majority of the tasks will be design-oriented, there may be small tasks in which you support the company CMO. Inquire and we’ll let you know more.
• Future Opportunity: Creating renderings for projects. Please let us know if you have experience working in 3D modeling software.
• Perspective and Brains: Providing input in product development discussions, marketing planning, and general business chat. Essentially, being an active part of the team, which includes telling us (kindly) when one of our ideas are stupid.

What are the job requirements?

• Bachelor’s degree or greater in design-based major OR equivalent experience. Must provide portfolio to be considered.
• 3+ years in professional design setting. May make accommodations for highly motivated and skilled entry-level candidate.
• Skill in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, InDesign, Premiere, and After Effects, and presentation software including Canva and/or PowerPoint.
• Must be self-motivated, take ownership for their work, and have high standards.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet short-term deadlines.
• Detail-Oriented: please include the phrase “marketing master” in your application to show you’re detail-oriented enough to read this.
• High degree of accuracy, ability & desire to learn independently, attention to detail, tenacity, and commitment to excellence.
• Team-first personality with the ability to take constructive feedback well.
• Preferred: Photography and videography skills.

• Preferred: Wordpress experience

What’s the salary?

This position has an estimated starting salary of $50k – $65k contingent on experience and skill. Significant growth opportunities are included and expected.
