The Reservoir Engineer evaluates gas reserves, supplies and properties and provides estimates of long-term availability. The position is responsible for gas storage well and reservoir engineering, operations, maintenance, and construction including storage well and field prioritization. It contributes toward Gas Safety Excellence goals by improving safety, reliability and affordability for one or more asset families and one or more life cycles.
Candidate must be available to attend meetings/events at or near San Ramon, CA campus or other PG&E locations on an as needed basis.
Responsibilities Performs engineering assignments of moderate scope and complexity
Responsible for Well project activity (e.g., well drilling, field development, well workover, asset retirement). Assesses well Integrity and reports anomalies Participates in geologic and engineering evaluation of storage development or enhancement prospects Administers gas storage data base (GSDB) for reservoir services section Participates on industry roundtables and groups as related to storage
