Here’s how a Senior Communication Specialist for our U.S. Head Office in Denver,CO contributes to our team:
Leading the research, planning, and execution of mid-size to large internal and external communications initiatives, while ensuring brand integrity.
Working collaboratively with PCL’s U.S. offices to create and implement communications plans to drive PCL awareness internally and externally.
Building relationships with all levels of internal clients, including the senior executives, to deliver on their communication priorities and ensure message consistency.
Writing and editing materials, including intranet articles, employee emails, video scripts, internal social media posts, executive messages and memos, etc.
Collaborating with multiple stakeholders on various communication activities to support PCL’s brand across the U.S.
Measuring and reporting key performance indicators.
Mentoring communication staff locally and across the country on best practices and technical skills.
What you will bring to the role:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field.
7-10 years of experience in a corporate or agency setting.
Expert in AP writing style and superb verbal, writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing measurable strategic communications programs.
Experience creating engaging intranet content. SharePoint intranet publishing a plus.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time, in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative and team-focused with the ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
Ability to work independently, managing major projects.
Willingness to travel and work with teams across the U.S. and Canada. Travel will account for approximately 10-20% of the position.
The salary range for this position is between $75,000 and $90,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
