Overview:
The Talent Development Specialist helps our team members develop their skills and knowledge. They are great communicators with the ability to effectively describe complicated ideas to different audiences. They are highly organized, proficient in time management, and possess excellent public speaking skills. Thorough knowledge of credit union culture, practices, processes, products, and service expectations is expected for ongoing success. The person in this role works primarily with new employees. Responsibilities include: 1) the facilitation of instructor-led training (virtual and in-person), 2) conducting and analysis of training assessments and evaluations, 3) informing the TD team of classroom observations and results of assessments and identifying additional training needs, and 4) communicating with hiring managers on the outcomes of training interventions and additional actions that may be needed to achieve desired outcomes. A TD Specialist is highly organized, and self-driven with a strong overall understanding of how the various lines of business operate and how work gets done. They possess a strong member service, problem resolution and service excellence orientation and the ability to effectively collaborate with others.
Responsibilities:
Provides training on systems, service, and operations: Member Service Platform (MSP), Compliant and Problem Resolution (CPR), Branch Suite, Lending 360, Procedure and Product Knowledge, Service & Solutions for Retail Branches and Merced Call Center as required
Provides facilitation of Branch and MCC Foundations, as well as other training initiatives as they are introduced
Develops, updates, and maintains a good working relationship with the Talent Development team, HR Teams, and other business units as assigned.
Ensures that all classroom courses are scheduled, assigned, and prepared in accordance with established standards
Maintains team training records and finalizes class rosters on MyGPS
Performs department support functions by answering team member requests and questions
Answers questions from Team Members and educates them in the utilization of other available resources for information, such as MyGPS and MyPATELCO
Serves as an expert on systems, such as Spectrum – Summit – Branch Suite, Lending 360, MSP and CPR.
Stays current and acts as a subject matter expert for policies, procedures, and processes
Takes responsibility for individual career development and training and seeks opportunities to stay up to date on industry expectations and trends
Attends as an active contributor and consultant in meetings and committees as assigned
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
One to two years of related business experience is required
Ability to work at a fast pace with flexibility, accuracy, and attention to detail
Excellent teamwork, communication, initiative, judgment, and discretionary skills
Ability to apply good judgment, handle and maintain confidential details and records
Eagerness to work in collaboration in a fast-moving/changing environment
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multi-task
The ability to work independently while staying connected and being an engaged member of the Patelco OneTeam.
Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple assignments and provide appropriate details as required
Ability to research, analyze, and propose solutions for multi-faceted problems
Strong communication skills, including classroom facilitation (in-person or virtual) and public speaking
Target Pay:
$25.84 – $30.39 / hour
