PADS of Elgin Hiring for Development Director Job at Elgin, IL Full Time

Reports to: Executive Director – CEO

Role: The Development Director for PADS will be responsible in securing financial support for the organization by setting and achieving fundraising goals and cultivating relationships with outside supporters and donors. The Development Director will build lasting relationships with donors and keep them informed on how their financial input is making an impact on PADS. The Development Director will be an active participant in fundraising events and helping to drive PADS financial goals to help strengthen and stabilize the organizations financial health.
Responsibilities:

• Define fundraising goals for the organization.
• Develop and organize each aspect of the organization’s fundraising programs.
• Prepare and execute fundraising plans that include major gifts programs, annual fund strategies, planned giving, and fundraising events and campaigns.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with all donors and look for new donors and sponsors.
• Take advantage of community relations, speaking engagements, and fundraising events.
• Manage corporate gifts.
• Manage annual fund campaigns.
• Look for donation programs and opportunities.
• Work with our grant writer in identifying and securing grants.
• Create reports to analyze and measure the progress towards the fundraising goals and the fundraising campaigns’ effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the board of directors on organizing and planning special events and receiving donations.
• Be an active participant in all the fundraising programs.
• Provide board with regular progress reports.
• Managing fundraising and special events.
• Generating development materials such as grants and case statements.
• Maintain a social media presence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, non-profit management, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in development.
• Experience measuring data and outcomes of events to determine marketing effectiveness.
• Positive and collaborative attitude when managing groups and overseeing initiatives.
• Experience managing and tracking donor contributions and organizing gathered data.
• Demonstrated experience raising funds and examples of positive outcomes.
• Proficient with sponsorship solicitation.
• Proficient with social media platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• A passion for serving the homeless community and creating a culture that allows for self-sufficiency and growth.
• Ability to work well in a diverse group.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $60,000.00 per year
