1) NOVONIX Battery Technology Solutions (BTS) based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. BTS provides the most accurate battery cell testing in the world and provides R&D services including materials development, cell design, cell testing, and electrolyte analysis. BTS’ equipment and cell testing services are used by leading companies throughout the entire battery supply chain.

2) NOVONIX Anode Materials (NAM) based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. NAM manufactures synthetic graphite anode material for lithium-ion batteries and is the only qualified supplier of graphite anode material in North America.

3) A small but mighty corporate team working remotely across the US & Canada.

Role Summary:

This person will report directly to the Electrical Engineer. As the Associate Power Systems Engineer, you will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission-critical infrastructure, and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. This position is onsite in Chattanooga, TN.

Responsibilities include:

· Responsibilities for the plant’s main MV switchyard, as well as plant-wide power distribution systems

· Providing 24/7 failure response, with help from in-house and contract resources, to return the system to full productivity

· Accountability to direct electrical crews, contractors, production centers, and plant management to ensure the operation and power delivery to production areas

· Providing a detailed analysis of all voltage related outages or incidents

· Monitoring all plant medium voltage power operation, including system line-up, production center requirements, and interface with all areas of the plan

· Providing electrical engineering expertise to ensure equipment reliability and system improvement support as it pertains to both medium and low voltage applications

· Developing switching orders for all system changes as well as providing direction for establishing electrical safe work zones for personnel

· Developing and implementing multi-year maintenance plans

· Developing and maintaining breaker coordination and Arc flash information on all electrical equipment

· Participating in capital budget initiatives for the high voltage power system, such as obtaining quotes, preparing funding requests, providing expenditure projections, implementing actions, and tracking execution

· Participating in the design, rebuild, install, and commission of both new and revised electrical equipment

· Providing support and auditing to ensure compliance with safety protocols for the Maintenance Department on electrical safety for both medium and low voltage

· Assisting on any other duties as assigned/needed

You are:

· A graduate with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE) or electrical engineering technology (BSEET)

· Knowledgeable in electrical manufacturing processes

· Familiar with electrical engineering codes and safety standards

· A highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative

· Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

· Able to work in a dynamic environment, while handling multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and reacting quickly

· Proficient in Microsoft 365

· Collaborative

· Able to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization
