Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks a highly qualified Logistic Support Specialist or Principal Logistic Support Specialist to represent the interests of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Class Mission Package program as a Logistics Management Specialist for activities, operating out of the Mission Module Readiness Center (MMRC) at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, FL. The candidate will be responsible for assigned logistics duties at the Mission Module Readiness Centers (MMRCs) in Mayport. A key function of this position will include interface with the afloat and ashore supply personnel to coordinate and resolve mission package related Supply actions.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintaining inventory databases for material stocked in storerooms and warehouses
• Familiar with HAZMAT procedures and ordering requirements
• Familiar with the MPSF (Mission Package Support Facility) material ordering and tracking system, JIRA
• Logistics efforts to support material readiness
• Support all logistics activities relative to maintenance planning, coordination, and accomplishment to include:-MM (Mission Module) Planned Maintenance System (PMS) – Receive, inspect, and track logistics articles for proper allocation of local storage facilities
• MM (Mission Module) Embarkation/Debarkation support
• Provide requisitioning and material expediting
• Provide Packaging, Handling Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) for shipment of material to/from Singapore and locations worldwide
• Capable of using MICROSOFT Office suite of products, Adobe Acrobat and other programs required for generating DD-1149, DD-1348-1, DD-1348-6 and DD-250
• Knowledge/experience with US Navy systems including RSupply and OMMS-NG
• The ideal candidate will provide logistics support to assist our fly-away teams on an emergent basis

This position may be filled as Logistics Support Specialist or Principal Logistics Support Specialist based on the basic qualifications listed below.

Basic Qualifications Logistics Support Specialist:

• High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Supply system or equivalent logistics system
• Must have an active Secret Security clearance updated or issued within the last 5 years and be able to maintain appropriate clearances.
• Experience maintaining inventory databases for material stocked in storerooms and warehouses
• Experience with the Navy Supply system to include ordering, stocking and issuing parts, materials, tools and equipment at the MPSF facilities and ships worldwide
• Experience with HAZMAT procedures and ordering requirements
• Candidate will be required to perform physically demanding work to include working in tight restricted access quarters onboard a US Navy warship and other spaces, climbing 20 ft. ladders and standing for long periods of time on a Navy ship or lifting 50 lbs or more

Basic Qualifications Principal Logistics Support Specialist:

• High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years related experience.
• Supply system or equivalent logistics system
• Must have an active Secret Security clearance updated or issued within the last 5 years and be able to maintain appropriate clearances.
• Experience maintaining inventory databases for material stocked in storerooms and warehouses
• Experience with the Navy Supply system to include ordering, stocking and issuing parts, materials, tools and equipment at the MPSF facilities and ships worldwide
• Experience with HAZMAT procedures and ordering requirements
• Candidate will be required to perform physically demanding work to include working in tight restricted access quarters onboard a US Navy warship and other spaces, climbing 20 ft. ladders and standing for long periods of time on a Navy ship or lifting 50 lbs or more

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiar with the MPSF unique material system (JIRA) to generate reports
• Experience in material and maintenance systems used by the LCS program including R-Supply and Planned Maintenance System (PMS)
• Ability to conduct and report on technical review of work packages to ensure logistics requirements are included

• Familiar with accessing and maintaining Navy’s R-Supply systems
• Experience with equipment logistics, technical manuals, oversee parts ordering system, and quality control inspections

Salary Range: $33,500 USD – $55,900 USD

Salary Range 2: $39,800 USD – $66,300 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
