Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) South Bay Aircraft Design Center of Excellence has an exciting career opportunity for a Thermal Analysis Engineer to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels. This position will be located in El Segundo, CA.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for performing thermal analysis using software (MSC SINDA, SINDA/FLUINT, Thermal Desktop) in order to solve a variety of technical problems.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and document thermal analyses and designs.
• Report analyses results and design specifics to internal management and external customers when necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM with 0 years of related engineering experience
• A current active in-scope U.S. Government issued DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required to start, with the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR/SPA).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years work experience in analysis or design of thermal control systems and thermal hardware knowledge.
• Experience using thermal analysis tools such as (MSC SINDA, SINDA/FLUINT, Thermal Desktop)
• Current active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance with a background investigation date within 6 years.

Salary Range: $82,400 USD – $123,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
