About Us:

At Novo Fogo, we believe that what goes around, comes around. We are a bi-continental company, with the HQ in the USA (Seattle, WA) and our own distillery and sugarcane fields in Brazil (Morretes, PR). We produce cachaça and RTD drinks featuring tropical flavors like passion fruit, mango, and açaí, anchored on two Brazilian platforms: alcoholic (cachaça) and non-alc (mate tea). Our proposition is to give consumers choices and let them discover how to use them, whether singularly, alternately, or together. All of our products are organic certified, and we are carbon-negative, zero-waste, and run our own reforestation project in Brazil, called The Un-Endangered Forest™. We are proud to count SOFI TUKKER and Bobs’ Dance Shop as equity partners and to collaborate with them to spread Novo Fogo joy to their own audiences in the music and dance world. 

We’re looking for a passionate National Head of Sales to lead our liquor sales and distribution activities across the U.S. and help us continue to grow Novo Fogo. This position may be located in any major metropolitan area in the USA and reports to the CEO/Founder.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage relationships with our open-state wholesalers and controlled-state agencies in 30+ states in the USA.  
• Implement pricing and incentive programs for wholesalers that align all stakeholders in the distribution chain. 
• Hire, train, inspire, and lead regional and inside salespersons in self-distributed territories (CA, FL, NY, TX). 
• Increase our national account footprint (both on and off-premise) by preserving and expanding existing placements and and adding new partnerships.  
• Utilize data mining platforms, analyze the numbers, and adjust strategies as needed to find success through vision + adaptation.
• Collaborate with the brand ambassador and marketing teams to create and activate brand experiences for national accounts, bartender audiences, and industry tradeshows.
• Champion sustainability by weaving our environmental stewardship mission into every sales story.
• Travel to key markets, industry events, and team meetings.

Who You Are:

• You have 10+ years of progressive sales management experience in beverage alcohol (spirits preferred); national or large regional responsibility required. Don’t meet these numbers? Let’s discuss equivalencies. 
• You are entrepreneurial, scrappy, and self-motivated: you start every day with loads of energy and have some left by the end of the day.
• You are a relationship-builder who is as comfortable in a boardroom as you are at a music festival; you know how to open doors and keep them open.
• You have experience managing and mentoring a remote team across multiple markets and believe that you will succeed only as much as those around you do.
• You are obsessed with environmental sustainability and believe business can be a force for good.
• You bring energy, positivity, and creativity to everything you do, and you’re ready to push yourself, because you know that your future will be brighter if you do.
