They also collaborate internally and externally to promote optimal and reliable IT performance and delivery of data, products, and services across the National System for GEOINT (NSG) and Allied System for GEOINT (ASG).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) serves as the world leader in providing timely, relevant, accurate and actionable geospatial intelligence (GEOINT). NGA’s civilian, military and contract personnel evaluate imagery, maps, charts, multiple layers of foundation data – such as terrain, elevation and gravity – and the full spectrum of visible and invisible light in order to help users visualize what is happening at a particular place and time. Our intelligence officers go beyond describing ‘what, where and when’ to revealing ‘how and why.’ Our work enables decision advantage for our policymakers, warfighters, intelligence professionals and first responders. Additional Information: (U) The Enterprise Operations Division (TOCO) is responsible for managing the Enterprise Service Center (ESC) which provides centralized command and control operations for the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) and Allied Systems Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG). The ESC enables mission success by ensuring optimum performance of NGA’s Information Services (IS) and Information Technology (IT). NGA’s IS and IT allows GEOINT to be processed, exploited and disseminated throughout the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. (U) Information Technology (IT) Operations Analysts interact with customers, IT professionals, and engineers to oversee the implementation and monitoring of IT systems. They manage IT audits, inspections, and findings and support total asset management initiatives. They define requirements, design and document system specifications, perform quality assurance procedures, and collect and analyze performance metrics. They apply Information Technology Service Management principles to ensure successful transitions of systems into the enterprise and community. They also collaborate internally and externally to promote optimal and reliable IT performance and delivery of data, products, and services across the National System for GEOINT (NSG) and Allied System for GEOINT (ASG). (U) This position requires a multifaceted level of understanding in IT with a focus on cloud-based data center operations, customer requirements, process improvement, and system integration. An understanding of Federal and/or DoD customers and their mission, operations, and procedures is required, including analyzing data and information to identify process issues or deficiencies. (U) IT Operations Analyst responsibilities for the Data Center at NCW and NCE include documenting and enforcing IT Operations policy and procedures, managing data center access control, performance monitoring and disaster recovery, briefings, and coordinate site visits and tours. (U) The IT Operations Analyst will oversee contract executed data center operations including the operations and maintenance of network resources, ensuring data center security, monitoring and maintaining power and cooling. Provide performance assessments and feedback on Service Providers supporting IT Operations. (U) This position will collaborate and coordinate across CIO-T and other agencies to resolve issues, develop courses of action and drive executive decisions. Escalate and inform TOCO Leadership team on data center issues as required. Mandatory Qualifications
MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Demonstrated knowledge of data center operations within a cloud environment. 2. Demonstrated experience with IT architecture, configuration management, AND IT operations. 3. Demonstrated experience supporting customers, their mission, and/or procedures. EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Technology Management, or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience in monitoring and/or coordinating the resolution of information technology issues, use and/or exposure to data analysis, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in monitoring and/or coordinating the resolution of information technology issues, use and/or exposure to data analysis, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. -AND- Relevant Competencies: IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.

QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Demonstrated expertise in written communication skills with evidence of briefing senior management. 2. Demonstrated expertise in strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with co-workers and mission partners. 3. Demonstrated proficiency in strong organizational, problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail. 4. Demonstrated understanding of the ITIL Framework. 5. Demonstrated ability in critical thinking skills.
Additional Job Requirements
You must be able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. In addition, you are subject to a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination in order to maintain access to Top Secret information. All employees are subject to a periodic examination on a random basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Refusal to take the examination may result in denial of access to Top Secret information, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs. Employees with SCI access and who are under NGA cognizance are required to submit a Security Financial Disclosure Report, SF-714, on an annual basis in order to determine continued eligibility. Failure to comply may negatively impact continued access to Top Secret information, Information Systems, SAP, and/or unescorted access to SCIFs.

PROMOTION OPPORTUNITY: Promotion opportunities allow applicants at all band levels to be considered. Qualifications for NGA positions do not include specific time-in-band requirements. NGA will emphasize quality of experience, rather than duration, and assess how the quality of the experience demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance in the NGA occupational structure.
Band 04 $106,823 – $164,102
