The Siemer Institute (SI) is hiring our National Director of Operations to help drive meaningful, measurable improvements in the lives of children and their families across the country. You’ll join a small, highly impactful team that partners with communities nationwide to provide grants, methodology, and support that helps strengthen family stability so children can succeed in school. This role is built for someone who thrives on disciplined project leadership, clarity, and coordinated action.
Summary:
The Siemer Institute’s mission is to, “Invest in the potential of children through family stability’. This mission is advanced through a national network of funded partners, service providers and key stakeholders.
The National Director of Operations provides strategic, operational leadership and project management across SI’s organizational priorities. This role is designed for a disciplined systems thinker who translates direction into coordinated action to empower a small, high‑performing team to operate with efficiency and effectiveness while supporting a national network of communities working to advance family stability and child success.
As SI grows, the responsibilities of this role may evolve. The National Director of Operations will help shape future organizational capacity and structure, and will lead through influence, coordination, and project ownership.

Employer of Record: United Way of Central Ohio | Assignment: Siemer Institute (pursuant to an Employee Leasing Agreement between the parties).
Reports To: President & National Executive Director of the Siemer Institute
FSLA Classification: Exempt
Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000 annually, plus bonus potential, based on a 37.5-hour work week, dependent on background and experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities at this time.
Work Environment:
This hybrid role uses standard office equipment (computer, printer, phone, copier, filing cabinet) and is primarily home based; reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace are required. Siemer Institute maintains office space for onsite work and meetings. Mileage to and from the SI home office is not reimbursable.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, weighing up to 20 pounds.

Expected Work Hours:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, totaling 37.5 hours per week. Flexible daily scheduling may be available year-round; however, all work schedules and flextime arrangements must be approved by the department head. Some evening and weekend work is required.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel is expected.
