Our client, a leading multi-strategy hedge fund, is looking to hire a Market Data Analyst in their New York office. This is a newly created hire and will be the first member of the Data Management team in NYC – reporting directly to the Global Head of Data.
Stepping into a highly autonomous role, the hire will take on a crucial role working to support multiple investment teams with data operations and quality management, taking ownership of the full spectrum of investment data from onboarding through to investment instrument set up and trade execution support. The hire will have the opportunity to take on key projects driving the centralisation of the platform, the integration of new APIs and supporting with data management responsibilities for the launch of new investment strategies and products.
The hire will also have the opportunity to develop their commercial skillset by managing relationships with key data vendors and exchanges – managing contracts, overseeing vendor onboarding and acting as the point of the escalation (albeit with support from the wider data team globally).
This role offers a data management and operations specialist the opportunity to step up into a first-of-its-kind high impact role in a key function of a well-established and expanding hedge fund. Given the importance of the hire, the client have budgeted a total compensation package of up to $300K with flexibility for strong candidates.
