In April 2022, we introduced a new, more affordable, ad-supported tier for our customers, marking a significant milestone for Netflix. Our focus is now on expanding choices for consumers and providing advertisers with a premium TV brand experience that surpasses traditional linear formats. The challenge ahead involves scaling our ad tech to maximize its impact on our business.
The Identity and Signals team within Ads Data Science and Engineering is a crucial foundational group driving the success of our ad-supported tier. The team is responsible for developing and advancing our Identity Science capabilities, as well as extracting and integrating valuable signals from diverse sources into our core ad optimization models. This work directly powers high-impact business use cases such as ad measurement and attribution, targeting and audience solutions, and the continuous evolution of our ad ranking and bidding systems, ensuring maximum value for advertisers and an optimal experience for our members. As a leader in this domain, you will collaborate closely with Product and Engineering partner teams to think expansively about our business goals and define the blueprint for achieving them through models and algorithms. Your team will apply rigorous analytical methods to evaluate concepts, dissect challenges, build models and workflows, provide recommendations, and drive success on end-to-end initiatives in this nascent (0 – 1) space.
