M&A Vice President Full Time NEW

The Transaction Director (equivalent is a IB Vice President) leads sell-side mergers and acquisitions of lower middle market ($50m-$500m TEV) privately held businesses and assists in managing a growing team of junior M&A professionals. This role requires strong negotiation, emotional intelligence, client and personnel management, and a deep understanding of mergers and acquisitions. This is a frontline M&A role involving daily interaction with multiple clients and buyers. The role reports directly to the Middle Market Team (MMT) Managing Director.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with origination but primarily focus on executing sell-side and strategic M&A transactions for privately-owned companies across various industries
• Serve as a trusted advisor to founders, entrepreneurs, and family-owned businesses
• Lead transaction teams through all phases of the M&A process
• Contribute to business development initiatives and firm growth strategies
• Mentor and develop junior team members
• Oversee financial analysis and modeling, CIM creation, and ensure the delivery of high-quality client work product
• Conducting extensive industry, market, and company-specific research
• Possess executive-level communication skills to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders, including senior executives and partners

Job Requirements:

• Have 5-8 years working as an M&A professional with preference of industry experience across Industrials, Consumer, Business Services, and Healthcare
• Have a passing knowledge of the legal and accounting parameters involved in M&A transactions
• At times, work outside normal business hours at times, whether early or late, as required by workload, client schedules, and/or expectations
• Be available to travel for occasional overnight trips on short notice (rarely, longer than three days)
• Ability to obtain a Florida real-estate sales associate license within 6 months of employment
• Have no unfavorable history with FINRA, the SEC, or any state regulatory agency
• Must be able to work in the office, Monday-Friday with professional dress attire is required
• Bachelors in Finance, Economics, Business or related fields, MBA is preferred, CPA is a plus
• Strong closed M&A deal experience
