Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

SITE OF SERVICE:

• United States Naval Hospital Guam and associated branch medical clinics within a 40-mile radius.
  
• Full Time

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree: Associates Degree of Nursing
• 
  Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
• 
  Certifications: Possess and maintain the following:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• 
  Experience: Possess a minimum of one year experience within the last three years as a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care setting.
• 
  Licensure: Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Island.
• 
  U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen

• 
  English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
• 
  Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

HOURS:

• Services shall be provided Sunday through Saturday between 0630 – 1900 hours for three 12.50-hour shifts. Each shift includes a 30-minute meal break.
• In no instance will services be provided in excess of 72 hours per two-week period.
• Not required to work on federally recognized holidays.

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
