As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Lead Service Technician who is ready to take ownership of job sites and grow into a Field Supervisor role.

Position Overview

The Lead Air Duct Service Technician serves as the on-site team leader for air duct and dryer vent cleaning services across residential and commercial accounts. This is a senior field role with a clear path to Field Supervisor. The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience, expert-level technical skills, and the ability to mentor junior technicians — all while upholding 3 Wave Cleaning’s commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead job-site crews, delegate tasks, and ensure work meets 3 Wave Cleaning quality standards on every service call.
• Perform air duct and dryer vent cleaning services using specialized equipment and tools.
• Safely operate and set up ladders up to 40 ft in accordance with OSHA and company safety protocols – MUST HAVE LADDER EXPERIENCE
• Conduct pre- and post-cleaning inspections to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on-site, communicating professionally about services, findings, and recommendations.
• Train, mentor, and support junior technicians; provide feedback to management on crew performance.
• Safely operate company vehicles and maintain cleanliness and organization of all work equipment.
• Report job progress, equipment issues, and customer concerns to the operations manager.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls and time tracking using company software.
• Assist in developing field processes and best practices as the company grows toward a full field supervisor structure.

Required Qualifications

The following qualifications are required.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Lead Technician in air duct cleaning, HVAC, or closely related residential/commercial field services. ✦ REQUIRED
• Demonstrated experience working safely with ladders up to 40 ft, including setup, inspection, and OSHA-compliant use on residential and commercial job sites. ✦ REQUIRED
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work in varied environments (attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, etc.).
• Strong leadership skills — experience directing a crew or serving as the senior technician on multi-person jobs.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional appearance.
• Comfortable using mobile apps or job management systems to log work and track time.

Preferred Qualifications

• NADCA certification or HVAC certification.
• Experience with duct cleaning systems and negative air machines.
• Prior experience in a Field Supervisor, Crew Lead, or Service Manager capacity.
• Mechanical or technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues in the field.

Growth Path: Field Supervisor

This role is designed as a direct pipeline to Field Supervisor at 3 Wave Cleaning. High-performing Lead Technicians who demonstrate strong leadership, operational reliability, and the ability to scale our field processes will be considered for promotion as the company expands. Responsibilities will evolve to include scheduling, crew management, quality control oversight, and direct collaboration with operations leadership.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Primarily residential homes in Newton and surrounding communities
• Some early mornings or occasional weekend work based on customer needs
• Physical, hands-on role requiring standing, bending, lifting, and climbing
