Social Media Strategist
Summary
Located in New York City, Joalia Hospitality is a multi-disciplinary marketing agency that exclusively partners with restaurants, cafés and bars of various sizes and concepts. Our mission is to rebalance the playing field for the hospitality industry by pushing the boundaries of modern digital marketing and to continue carving a leading role in the hospitality space.

We’re looking for a driven, ambitious, creative-minded individual who is passionate about Hospitality, Creativity and Technology!

Responsibilities

• Work closely with our Creative Director to develop social media strategy for clients.
• Create graphics using Figma, Canva and/or Photoshop.
• Work within task management softwares.
• Research industry trends.
• Assist on client photoshoots and content sessions.
• Develop social media content such as reels, posts and stories.
• Craft copy for blog posts, websites, and captions.
• Develop custom newsletters for email marketing.
• Make basic website adjustments such as editing copy or updating content.
• Influencer Program management.

Qualifications

• Highly creative (we’re digital storytellers after all!)
• Expert in social media (3+ years of experience)
• Consistently comfortable with taking initiative
• Impeccable organizational skills
• Proactive/founder mentality
• Strong writing and language skills
• Efficient in Google Suite
• Comfortable learning project management softwares
• Strong people skills
• Team oriented
• Proficient in Canva
• Previous experience in hospitality, a plus!
• Graphic design skills, a plus (Adobe Suite, Figma)
• Familiarity with WebFlow, a plus

The ideal candidate is able to work 5 days a week (35-39 hrs) and is able to work in our downtown Manhattan office/onsite at restaurants at least 4 days/week.

Weekly lunch stipend provided.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.00 – $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
