Jensen Audio Visual Hiring for Audio Visual Installation Technician – Level 2 or 3 Full Time

LEVEL 2 POSITION OVERVIEW: The Level 2 Installer is a person who works with general supervision to install wiring, cable, components, and devices for low-voltage electronics in commercial applications

Job Requirements:

• A Level 2 Installation Technician shall a minimum of 4 years working experience in an electronics or Audio Visual field.
• Either CST or EST-L1 Certification
• Applicant should have at least 1-year experience working in the field pulling cable and doing basic cable terminations.
• Applicant should be able to read and interpret a standard audio-visual engineering drawing package, pull cables working off schematics, and fully terminate cables (solder & crimping, etc).
• Ability to mount and install ceiling projectors, wall mounted plasmas, ceiling speakers, and most general audio visual field devices. Fabricate mechanical & rack wiring to specifications
• Install code for the following systems; Clearone, Rane, Extron, Vortex, and DBX
• Problem solving and trouble shooting of issues that arise during an installation.
• Interaction with clients, general contractors, electrical contractors, etc.
• Daily field ing to Installation Project Manager/ Lead Technician
• Complete field installation of complex control program systems, diagnose and troubleshoot problems, calibrate and test equipment, and train client on usage.
• The Level 2 Installation Technician can often manage small projects directly, interacting with JAV team and clients

Training & Development

• Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that company offers
• Must received manufacturer training and become certified by : Extron, AMX , Tandberg, Polycom, Media Matrix, Control 4 and Harmon.
• Minimum of 80 hours of continuing education required per year
• Must complete all required educational courses and pass the CST-I or EST-L2 test in order to become a Level 3 Installation Lead Technician

LEVEL 3 POSITION OVERVIEW: A Level 3 Lead Technician will supervise a job site crew of level 1 & 2 Installers and sub-contractors. Is responsible for training and developing his crew installation technicians. Is responsible for the quality of installation.

Job Requirements: **

• A Level 3 Installation Lead shall possess a degree from an accredited college or university or a possess a C-7 or C-10 license.
• A minimum of 7 years working experience in an electronics or AV field is required.
• Either CST-I or EST-L2 Certification

Job Responsibilities: * Lead team members from the start of the installation to job completion.

• Full working knowledge of commercial construction methods such as ceiling deck construction, wall framing and structural engineering.
• Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other people.
• Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized.
• Superior customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse groups.
• Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.
• Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations
• Valid and current driver’s license
