IT Support Specialist / Desktop Support Technician
$27/hr | Onsite – Downtown Chicago (Loop / Financial District) | 5 Days Onsite
Open-Ended Contract with possible conversion to permanent, full-time employee with benefits & PTO
RPC Staffing is hiring an IT Support Specialist / Desktop Support Technician for a respected global financial advisory client in Downtown Chicago.
This is an open-ended contract role through RPC Staffing with no fixed end date currently defined. This role is 5 days onsite. Conversion to the client may be possible later, but it is not guaranteed.
What You’ll Support
• Windows laptops and desktops
• Microsoft 365, Outlook, and Teams
• Active Directory tasks
• Printers, peripherals, and office hardware
• Remote access and connectivity issues
• Equipment setup, office moves, and tickets
• Local office users and remote employees
What You Need
• 2+ years of hands-on IT support experience
• Windows troubleshooting skills
• Microsoft 365 / Office 365 support experience
• Active Directory knowledge
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week in Downtown Chicago
Strongly preferred: CompTIA A+, Network+, and/or Security+ certifications.
Nice to have: experience having worked at a Managed Service Provider, ServiceNow, ConnectWise, BeyondTrust, AVD, Netskope, and/or Azure.
Education: Associate and bachelor’s degrees are a huge plus, but most certainly not required to be considered. The client has previously expressed interest in interviewing candidates who have strong hands-on experience with no degree but relevant certifications.
