SUMMARY Responsible for working on Process Engineering of New Programs, and responsible for Process Engineering of existing programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Create and Setup Processes for in support of New Product Introduction, using SAP, Excel and various software and established systems. Review customer requirements, determine acceptability, create downstream specifications for manufacturing, thru to working with subcontracted vendors specifications and specification of packaging plans. Using the ECO system to notify departments of new programs and changes to existing programs. Ensures every aspect of the process is fully defined for production.
Responsible for status communication with all stakeholders about New Product Introduction related to Process Engineering and other important project information.
Responsible for all aspects of sustaining Process Engineering for Programs released in Production. Responsible for handling issues that arise from manufacturing problems.
Create and maintain procedures/documents that assist the Production, Engineering or Tooling departments, primarily aimed at Process Engineering and Standardization.
Responsible to fully learn all Interplex systems related to Process Engineering, and be resourceful in finding information, determining information relevance and how they can formulate conclusions and ultimately make informed decisions.
Support Process Improvement Engineer in all process improvement initiatives.
Provide technical sales support.
Create and deliver presentations / proposals.
Interact with other Interplex division personnel and corporate staff to ensure proper global coordination of key accounts.
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No supervision authority, however, may carry supervisory responsibility sometime in the future. The position is responsible for program success through direction, coordination, and leadership of tasks to support deliverables.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four year related experience and/or training managing manufacturing projects/programs; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Engineering degree or four years related manufacturing design/engineering experience preferred.
Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and ERP systems are required. Ability to use some AutoCAD/Solidworks would be helpful. Effective use of interpersonal, communication and leadership skills are essential for project success.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
