Job Responsibilities
- Manages a potential multi-shift operation located within Livesay correctional institution.
- Coordinates with contractor to ensure production requirements are met.
- Provides services in the most efficient & economical manner while supervising/teaching inmates skills that can be utilized upon their release.
- Select, train and evaluate personnel.
- Establish an effective quality control program with proper waste control.
- Maintains a work environment that is safe & healthy in accordance to state and OSHA requirements.
- Directs the Attendance of 60 + inmate workers and prepares the necessary reports.
- Coordinates activities with the contractor, institutional personnel and industries.
- Schedule subject to change to meet the demands of the industry.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire

Minimum And Additional Requirements
The State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree and relevant program experience.
SCDC Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree and relevant program experience
OR
- An associate degree with 2 years relevant program experience
OR
- A high school diploma and 4 years relevant program experience.
